RAL colours in Softtech Spirit/ Fresco Movie

Softtech's Spirit is one of the largest names in CAD. The RAL colours are imported as material databases (dbf und bmp) and can be used with Fresco Movie (Version 7-8) for the rendering.

This is how colour fidelity is brought about - from design all the way to manufacture by the craftsmen.

The adherence to this destintion path is necessary for the availability of the palettes in the program but the user can change the expected path using the additional program ST-PILOT.

If you are not sure if the destination path is correct you can test it using ST-PILOT:

1. Start ST-PILOT via the start menu.
2. Choose „S2 Installation and Configuration“.
3. Select „F1 reconfigure Spirit“.
4. Choose „S1 Paths“ and check if the entry of „dBase-files“ matches the entry of „\DBF“.
5. If the entry of „\DBF“ deviates you have to enter this destination path into the colour palette installer program.

In this program variant the CMYK palettes (artprint, offset printing uncoated and coated paper) were defined in RGB. To achieve this the black component was substituted by respective negative RGB values (standard formula).

Using RAL colours in Spirit 7-8

1. Open a new or an existing file.
2. Press the Backspace button (delete reverse).
3. Choose "F3 dBase" und teh colour file fiting to your output device.
4. Assign according to the position of the toggle switch (F1 elements, F2 groups, F3 areas, F4 options) RAL colours to one or more objects.
5. If several objects are combined to a set you can identify the active Set for the material assignment by using „F5 Akt SET“.
   

The metarial selections are now used for renderings over the interface Fresco Movie.
