RAL colours in Softtech Spirit

Softtech's Spirit is one of the largest names in CAD. The RAL colours are imported as material databases (dbf und bmp) and can be used with Fresco Movie (Version 7-8) or about SPIRITvis (Version 9) for the rendering.

This is how colour fidelity is brought about - from design all the way to manufacture by the craftsmen.

The adherence to this destination path is not necessary for the availability of the palettes in the program.

In this program variant the CMYK palettes (artprint, offset printing uncoated and coated paper) were defined in RGB. To achieve this the black component was substituted by respective negative RGB values (standard formula).

Using RAL colours in Spirit vis

Make available one time

1. Select "Options/ Program Settings“
2. Add the paths under "Texture Path/ alternate paths" "C:\ST9\ArConOEM\Texturen\FARBEN\RAL CLASSIC"; "C:\ST10\ArConOEM\Texturen\FARBEN\RAL DESIGN System" and"C:\ST10\ArConOEM\Texturen\FARBEN\RALEFFECT".
3. If Spirit was not installed under the path „C:\ST9“ then you have to edit the path declaration accordingly. With the next start of ArCon, RAL colours are available.

Using RAL colours in Spirit vis

1. Open a new or an existing file.
2. Select "View/Texture and Object Catalogue".
3. Click on „Catalog/Textures" .
4. Change to the directory "RAL CLASSIC" , „RAL DESIGN“ or "RAL EFFECT".
5. Choose any RAL colour as texture and drag it on your object.
6. Design in RAL colours!
   

The RAL colours including colour names will appear in the material display field of SPIRITvis.
