Cinema 4D is a good choice for the most impressive 3D-projects, be it logo-animations, camera tours through virtual worlds or complete computer games.

The adherence to this destination path is not necessary for the availability of the palettes in the program.

In this program variant the CMYK palettes (artprint, offset printing uncoated and coated paper) were defined in RGB. To achieve this the black component was substituted by respective negative RGB values (standard formula).


Using RAL colours in
Cinema 4D XL und Art

  1. Copy the TGA files into the above mentioned folder on your hard disk.
  2. Open the material manager in the menu item „Window“. Select „New Material“ via the menu item „File“ in the material manager. A new button „New1“ appears in the bar.
  3. Double click on this button and the dialogue window „Edit material“ appears. Mark only the field „Color“.
  4. Move the controls of R, G and B to 0% in the upper field and the control for lightness on 100% (Black).
  5. If you click now on the button „Image...“ you can select the wanted bitmap (e.g. RAL1000.TGA) from the respective folder.
  6. You should adjust the strength of the mix to 100%.
  7. Use this procedure for every wanted RAL colour and save them in the material manager.
  8. You can enter the name of the colour in the upper left corner of the dialogue window.


Using RAL colours in
Cinema 4D GO

  1. Move the controls of R, G and B to 0% in the upper field „Color“ and the control for lightness on 100% (Black).
  2. In the lower field „Texture“ the control should be moved to 100% and thus to the highest opacity. This way you will achieve the strongest luminosity of the RAL colours.
  3. If you click now on the button „Image...“ you can select the wanted bitmap (e. g. RAL1000.TGA) from the respective folder.
  4. Use this procedure for every wanted RAL colour and save them in the material manager.
