RAL colours in Bentley Microstation 3D

The RAL files permit fast access to all RAL colours. The result of the rendering is marked by precision, both in measurement and in colour exactness.

The adherence to this destination path is not necessary for the availability of the palettes in the program.

In this program variant CMYK palettes (art print, uncoated paper, newsprint) are defined in RGB.

Using RAL colours in Bentley Microstation 3D

1. RAL colours are available in the wanted output optimized form in Micrstation after the installation:
2. Start Microstation and open a new or an existing file.
3. Choose „Settings/Rendering/Assign Materials“.
4. Load the RAL colour palette that fits you output situation („File/Open Palette“).
5. You can assign colours to objects by using „Tools/Assign“ or „Tools/Assign by selection“.
6. You can choose the Rendering process via „Utilities/Render“. The most exact but also the most time consuming process is „Phong/Antialias“.

 

The colours are transferred into the current project through the materials window.
While doing so the colour names are shown, and a preview is offered.
