RAL colours in B&E RagTime

Through varied functions and a bargain price RagTime is “the tool for business publishing” (quote from the handbook). In addition to graphic-, layout-, spreadsheets- and word processing fuctions the software comes up with ingenious colour functionality – all the way up to four colour separation (CMYK).

The RAL-colours consistently expand the features. They are available in a clear list in the inventory window. Click on the desired colour and pull it onto the object – Done!

The adherence to this destination path is not necessary for the availability of the palettes in the program.

Using RAL colours in B&E RagTime

1. Start Ragtime and open the file you wish to edit.
2. Move onto the menu option "Import".
3. Select the desired colour palette file (eps) from the above mentioned path.
4. Design in RAL using the floating selection window!

Switching the output optimisation

RagTime offers – in contrast to almost all other programs – the possibility of changing the output quality of a document retroactively in order to customise it to the various output situations (printer, light exposure,...). Proceed as follows:

1. In a document that has already been prepared with RAL-colours select the menu command "import"
2. Select the desired new output optimisation (eps-file).
3. An error message will appear with the warning that the colour is already comprised of different colour values. Select „always overwrite“.
