RAL colours in Adobe Photoshop 6.x-7.x, CS

Simply choose "Window/Show Color/Replace Color" to load the desired RAL palette. When colouring the objects (e.g. a house facade) try whatever RAL colours come to mind. Photoshop's layer technology makes it easy.

Several essential advancements have been made regarding the display and application of colour palettes in version 6 of this image editing software:

• colour names are displayed
• the number of colours is not limited anymore
• the palette can be unrestrictedly varied in size
• colour fields can be displayed differently (small/large)

Photoshop solved the problem of the colour palette ergonomics brilliantly. RAL colour palettes are easy and clear since version 6. The detours and tools prepared by us are not needed anymore.

The adherence to this destination path is not necessary for the availability of the palettes in the program.

Usage of RAL colours in Adobe Photoshop 6.x-7.x, CS

1. Open Photoshop and go to „Window/Show Colour fields“.
2. Click on the little arrow in the top right corner of the colour field window and then on „Replace colour fields“.
3. Open the wanted palette file of the above mentioned in the directory „Default\Colour fields\Adobe Photoshop Only“.
4. Use the entry „Small miniatures and names“ for a bigger display of the RAL colour fields including names. Use the entry „Miniatures“ for a smaller overall view. The colour names are displayed when you move the mouse over the colour fields.
5. Design in RAL!

Since Photoshop 6 the ergonomics have been greatly improved. Colour names are displayed,
different display modes are possible etc.
