NEW! RAL C2 CLASSIC COLOUR DATA 2.5

This programme displays the colour values of the 210 RAL CLASSIC colours in different variations.

For monitor application (e.g. webdesign) and for any colour printer sRGB is the best choice.

Lab and HLC are device-independant colour values which can, for example, be used in Photoshop or CorelDRAW.

Also included are: CMYK colour values for the most important print methods.

Regarding the quality of the colour values

RAL makes high demands on the quality of the colour values.

The HLC and La*b* coordinates were measured spectrophotometrically. Hierauf basieren die sRGB Farbwerte, welche mittels Farbmanagement aus einer rechnerischen Farbraumtransformation resultieren.

The CMYK colour-values for offset printing result in a colour matching of the RAL colours with the use of high quality CMYK atlases by hand.

As well as showing the colour the window also indicates the quality of your display and gives a preview of the results (sRGB). In this way you have optimal control over the outcome.

Advantages over version 1.0

After experiencing five years of success in the market version 1.0 was replaced by version 2.0 which included several important improvements:

SRGB colour values: Standard RGB according to HP/Microsoft, ideal for flat screens, Internet, Multimedia, Colour Printers, Digital cameras and so on (newer non-postscript devices, no offset printing)
HEW values for webdesign
Better colour values for coated, uncoated and newspaper
Full screen display in any size: optimal evaluation of the colour quality

Improvements over Version 2.0

For version 2.5 all RAL colours were re-measured. The measurement parameters are now compatible to the sRGB-Standard. The Lab values can be used as a basis for software based colour calculations and also for colour management.
